Hello my lovely’s!!! Hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and a great time seeing the New Year in. I will be taking a little break from Bits & Bobs 4 Bubs to have some quality time with my little fam bam but thought I would just feel you all in on what will be happening in 2015.
First thing’s first, have you signed up to my fortnightly/monthly newsletter. If not head on over to my Facebook page and do so now. Why? do you ask, well I will be having subscriber only deals and giveaways.
I have a lot of ideas that I will be rolling out this year and I will be needing product testers and giveaways, special discounts and free postage throughout the year.
I will also be sharing a lot more of what happens in my little sewing room and sharing some tutorials and tips as well.
So I look forward to sharing with you all later this month with the first giveaway to happen at the end of January.
Back in September I was very fortunate to have been able to rent a little space at Bowerbird Boutique in Oxley. If you haven’t heard of it or haven’t visited yet you are definitely missing out on all the beautiful handmade goodies inside. On my first visit I was so overwhelmed with so much talent there was to find and I just wanted to go home and hit the sewing table. And I didn’t leave empty handed either.
I have a few of my new gift sets available there for purchase for bubs first Christmas. Not only does it have a reusable calico bag with a snowflake appliqued on the front, but inside there is a Christmas bib, burp cloth and bubs very own miniature Christmas stocking ornament.
Have you payed a visit yet. Would love to know what was your favorite find?
Good morning lovely’s hope you all had a wonderful weekend and managed to survive the heat if you are here in Qld. Today I thought I would share some of the great handmade items you can purchase from the Junior Made It sellers.
Lets support handmade this Christmas by purchasing a beautiful handmade gift. I will be sharing a collection of great ideas from Made It up until Christmas that either Made It or myself has put together with links to the individual shops.
So first off I thought I would share the gorgeous 44 Days to Christmas ideas on Made It.com.au page today!
Its been a while since I have been on the blog and I thought what a great way to get back into posting then introducing my new product, The Trolley Mat!!!!. I actually designed and made one of these for my little man instead of using a trolley cover.
I was after something that would fit in my nappy bag and wasn’t necessarily to prevent germs but so that his ride in the trolley was a comfortable one. As you can see I still have to cut out the leg holes and the seatbelt anchors but they will be listed and available later on today.
To fold the liner all you need to do is fold it in half and then roll it up. At the top of the liner there is an elastic band that you use to keep it rolled. It also has plastic snaps so that you can easily secure it to the trolley.
Here is my little man showing of the original mat that I made for his shopping trolley rides. As you can see it is also a perfect fit for the trolleys with both a capsule and toddler seat.
I recently had a custom order from a lovely lady for drool/suck pads for her Ergo baby carrier which reminded me that I had an idea months in my notebook for a cover that goes over your carrier with a hood that rolls down into a pocket for when not in use.
It came from seeing so many mum’s and dad’s walking around the markets and shops with their little one covered with a blanket to keep the sun off of them. I still have my carrier and put a call out to all my lovely followers to help me with some measurements.
And so here is what I have come up with:
What do you think? This secures with snaps and the hood rolls down into a pocket for when not in use. I would love to have a lovely follower/customer to test this out for me and provide feedback and all you have to do is send me an email at email@example.com. I will select one lucky person and email them next week (open to Australian and NZ residents only).
Finally I’m getting somewhere with my new gift sets. Its been a bit of a process with a few interruptions and allowing time for some lovely ladies to help me out and test a few products, but I’m really happy with what I have come up with. I have a few different sets, all come with a bib & burp cloth and a set of nursing pads for mum but I also have a few that have scratch mittens and crochet beanie & booties set.
I have also been working on a Christmas gift set as well that comes with a bib & burp cloth and a little Christmas stocking. All I have left to do now is the wrapping. This has been one of the reasons for the delay as I workout how I would like to present my items. I have looked at boxes and hamper baskets but have finally decided on something a little bit cute and that is reusable. So Stay tuned!!!!!
I am slowly getting the pieces of my new gift packs together but the want be ready for release this week. But I am really happy with how they are coming together. I thought I would should you my new item I have been working on that will be included in the gift pack, scratch mittens for newborns.
They have a lovely cotton print on the outside and suede cloth that is so lovely and soft in the inside.
There are lots more on the sewing table but it’s time to hit the hay so I will share a little more soon.
