Captain America

Who doesn’t love the Marvel movies and Captain America. My nephew does and so for his 5th birthday he asked for a Captain America themed party.

I told my sister that I would love to create and make cupcake toppers with my Silhouette and Cricut machine and this is what I came up with.

I used 220 gsm card stock along with glitter paper. To make them 3D I used foam mounting tape. Double sided tape secured the back and fronts together as well as the toothpick.

But the creating didn’t stop there. I originally created a cake topper as my sister wasn’t sure at first whether she was going to make a cake or cupcakes, so when she decided cupcakes I thought this would make a great table display. It could also be turned into a birthday card.

But wait there is more lol, handmade always makes a great birthday present and instead of buying toys or clothes, I thought I would create a sign for his bedroom door.

It’s made with cardstock, wooden disk and chipboard. The picture above was sent to me after my sister mounted it onto my nephews bedroom wall.

I had so much fun creating these so I have made them available in my Etsy Store. I have a few more ideas in the works so watch this space.

Have a great day, Jennifer x

I am a stay at home mother of 2 beautiful girls and 1 handsome little man. I first started my blog www.eatcraftsow.blogspot.com as a place that I could share my love of sewing, anything crafty, cooking and working in my vegetable garden. I have always enjoyed making handmade gifts for family and friends and just before Christmas 2010 I started drafting designs for items that I wanted to make for myself for when my little man came into the world. With a little bit of convincing from my family and friends I decided to make and sell these items.
