Its been a while since I have been on the blog and I thought what a great way to get back into posting then introducing my new product, The Trolley Mat!!!!. I actually designed and made one of these for my little man instead of using a trolley cover.
newly designed trolley mat/cover
I was after something that would fit in my nappy bag and wasn’t necessarily to prevent germs but so that his ride in the trolley was a comfortable one. As you can see I still have to cut out the leg holes and the seatbelt anchors but they will be listed and available later on today.

To fold the liner all you need to do is fold it in half and then roll it up. At the top of the liner there is an elastic band that you use to keep it rolled. It also has plastic snaps so that you can easily secure it to the trolley.

Here is my little man showing of the original mat that I made for his shopping trolley rides. As you can see it is also a perfect fit for the trolleys with both a capsule and toddler seat.

I recently had a custom order from a lovely lady for drool/suck pads for her Ergo baby carrier which reminded me that I had an idea months in my notebook for a cover that goes over your carrier with a hood that rolls down into a pocket for when not in use.
It came from seeing so many mum’s and dad’s walking around the markets and shops with their little one covered with a blanket to keep the sun off of them. I still have my carrier and put a call out to all my lovely followers to help me with some measurements.
And so here is what I have come up with:

What do you think? This secures with snaps and the hood rolls down into a pocket for when not in use. I would love to have a lovely follower/customer to test this out for me and provide feedback and all you have to do is send me an email at info.bitsandbobs@gmail.com. I will select one lucky person and email them next week (open to Australian and NZ residents only).
Here it is, my gift bag for the gift sets. What do you think. I have a great appreciation for the lovely people out there that do free motion sewing.

Love the baby feet. Had to keep in with my theme and thought it turned out quite cute really lol. This will be listed at the Made It stores this week with more to follow in the Etsy store.

Finally I’m getting somewhere with my new gift sets. Its been a bit of a process with a few interruptions and allowing time for some lovely ladies to help me out and test a few products, but I’m really happy with what I have come up with. I have a few different sets, all come with a bib & burp cloth and a set of nursing pads for mum but I also have a few that have scratch mittens and crochet beanie & booties set.
I have also been working on a Christmas gift set as well that comes with a bib & burp cloth and a little Christmas stocking. All I have left to do now is the wrapping. This has been one of the reasons for the delay as I workout how I would like to present my items. I have looked at boxes and hamper baskets but have finally decided on something a little bit cute and that is reusable. So Stay tuned!!!!!
I am slowly getting the pieces of my new gift packs together but the want be ready for release this week. But I am really happy with how they are coming together. I thought I would should you my new item I have been working on that will be included in the gift pack, scratch mittens for newborns.
New gift sets in progress
They have a lovely cotton print on the outside and suede cloth that is so lovely and soft in the inside.

There are lots more on the sewing table but it’s time to hit the hay so I will share a little more soon.
I thought it would be lovely to have a little giveaway to say thank you to all the lovely people that have stopped by and liked my little Facebook page. Up for grabs is 3 x burp cloth set and 3 pairs of my new breastfeeding/nursing pads in a lovely bright chevron pattern. Burp cloths are light weight with only 2 layers, top being cotton with a lovely bright chevron pattern and the backing is a lovely soft white terry toweling. The breastfeeding/nursing pads have 3 layers, first layer, which goes against the skin, is white suede cloth which is lovely and soft. The second layer is bamboo wadding and the last layer is also cotton with a chevron chevron pattern. To enter I would love for you to head on over to my Facebook page and click on the Giveaway tab.
Hello lovely’s so sorry for the delay, I have sent messages via Facebook to the ladies chosen to test my nursing/breastfeeding pads but totally forgot that I had not posted here on my blog.
But as there were not many entries what I thought I would do first is wait to hear back from them to make sure that they would still like to do so for me as they may not wish to have there names appear on the blog.
